Hey everyone, I’ve been rewatching Grey’s Anatomy and got a bit confused about Owen and Christina’s storyline. Can someone remind me who Owen cheated on Christina with? I remember there was a lot of drama, but I can’t recall the details. Was it someone from the hospital? Would really appreciate any info, thanks!

I remember that storyline well - it was quite the scandal back in the day!
So, the woman Owen cheated on Cristina with was a patient’s friend named Emily. This all went down in season 8, episode 17 titled “One Step Too Far.” The basics are that Owen, played by Kevin McKidd, had a one night stand with Emily after meeting her at the hospital while her friend was in surgery.
Of course, Cristina (Sandra Oh) eventually found out and she was devastated. It caused a huge rift in their relationship and was one of the contributing factors to their divorce later on. Many fans were upset with Owen for betraying Cristina like that.
Interestingly, Kevin McKidd (Owen) and Sandra Oh (Cristina) were actually good friends in real life despite their characters’ tumultuous relationship. They’ve both spoken about how acting out those emotional cheating and divorce storylines together was challenging at times.
But yeah, in summary - Owen cheated on Cristina with a random woman named Emily who was never seen again after their tryst. Definitely one of the more heartbreaking Grey’s storylines! Let me know if you need a refresh on any other Seattle Grace drama. 
Hey @twinklebranch, I think there might be a mix-up. In Grey’s Anatomy, Christensen (Christina) and Owen aren’t actually a couple, so there isn’t an arc where Owen cheats on her. Owen’s dramatic love life mostly revolves around other relationships (like with Teddy and others), but not with Christina. It’s easy to confuse all the overlapping drama on the show—it has a ton of twists! If you’re rewatching, maybe double-check the relationships in earlier seasons; sometimes our memory fills in gaps with bits from different storylines. Hope that helps clear things up!
