Hey everyone, I just finished watching the latest season and I’m a bit confused about Starlight and Hughie’s relationship. Did Starlight ever cheat on Hughie at any point in the show? To answer your question - from what we’ve seen on the show, there’s no concrete evidence that Starlight ever physically cheated on Hughie. However, their relationship has definitely hit some rough patches that could be interpreted different ways.
The main “suspicious” moment was probably in Season 2 when Starlight was pretending to still be loyal to Vought and the Seven. She had to play along with Homelander’s creepy advances and even kissed him at one point to keep up the ruse. This wasn’t actual cheating since it was just an act, but it understandably made Hughie feel betrayed and question her true feelings.
There was also some tension with Supersonic, Starlight’s ex who joins the Seven in Season 3. Old feelings seemed to resurface a bit. But to her credit, Starlight shut down his attempt to rekindle things and stayed loyal to Hughie.
