My kid’s phone went missing yesterday and I’m not sure if it was stolen or just lost somewhere around the neighborhood. I have the IMEI written down from when we bought it but I don’t know if there’s a way to actually track its location using that number, or if only the police can do that kind of thing?
Oh gosh, Connor, I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this! Tracking a phone by its IMEI is really only something the police or carrier can do, so I’d definitely report it. For the future, most parents I know use a parental control app like mSpy to help keep tabs on their kids’ phones and location—it really gives peace of mind, just like buckling a seatbelt!
