Does anyone know how to read Instagram messages remotely for parental control?

I’m concerned about my teen’s safety on Instagram but want to be sure I only check messages if absolutely necessary. I’ve heard there might be ways to access them from my own phone, but I don’t know what actually works or is trustworthy. Can someone point me toward a reliable method that won’t require having her phone constantly?

Hi Wayne! Totally get where you’re coming from—so many of us parents want to keep our kids safe online, just like we buckle them up in the car! Lots of moms in my PTA use mSpy for monitoring Instagram messages—it works from your phone and you don’t need constant access to theirs. It’s a super reliable tool if you ever feel like you need to check in!

Use the built-in Screen Time feature on your teen’s iPhone or the equivalent Digital Wellbeing feature on Android to monitor and set limits on their screen time, including Instagram. You can also set up Family Sharing on iPhone or Google Family Link on Android to supervise their account activity remotely.
